ElasticCo elasticCo is a textile design studio handling all types of creative consultation, conceptualization, and textile installations for architects firms and private clients based in Brooklyn, New York. In betweeen commissions, elasticCo creates limited editions of unique products and accessories proposing a new outlook on daily life and a humorous view of our society. elasticCo is the brainchild of French designer Elodie Blanchard, a graduate of the fashion school Duperre and the Beaux Arts de Paris. While in Paris, she received critical acclaim for her clothes designed under her name which was presented at the F.I.A.M.H, sold in La Redoute and, Parisian stores. She went to Los Angeles on a grant to pursue the performance project Noisy Clothes working with musicians. Just like that, wondering what to do next, she began tying rubber bands together, creating large armors and varied products. As a freelancer, she manages product design development for designers and innovative styling and custom décor for events. As time passed by, she started elasticCo in 2005, working more in collaboration with architects and being involved in large fabric installations thereby linking all her interests in textile, problem solving and creativity.
